I am a massive fan of Jack White and his work, so on my trip to Nashville I made a mandatory stop at his very own Third Man Records. This place fucking rules… I could have spent hours just looking around. The record store itself is filled with gold/platinum records, old flyers, awards, prints, photos, and much more. I was able to buy lots of records that I haven’t been able to find at local record stores in San Diego from some of my favorites like The Dead Weather, The Raconteurs, and The Greenhornes.
The girl at the front desk was very helpful and friendly, her and the entire Third Man Records crew all had proper outfits to match the visual aesthetics of the entire place. If the record store isn’t enough, this place also has a venue, photo studio, and a recording studio. It’s obvious how much hard work, time, and effort is put into Third Man Records.
Serious props to Jack White and his crew, I’m yet to be disappointed by anything that Third Man Records is involved with. I left feeling very inspired, with a fresh batch of vinyl to listen to when I got home. It’s operations like this that make me want to keep writing music, and keep creating. Thank you. Long live vinyl.
